Roku 2 HD Streaming Media Player, $45

Note: As of 12/15, Roku is no longer accepting the coupon code on its streaming video player. The company did not indicate an expiration date to this offer, so this comes as a surprise. I apologize for the inconvenience. –Editor

The Roku 2 HD streaming video player earned 4 of 5 stars in our review earlier this year. The media streamer normally costs about $60, but Roku has it on sale for only $45, plus free shipping. Use coupon code mPkgError1 at Roku’s checkout to get the deal. But watch out–Roku tries to add on extra-cost accessories. Make sure to click the tiny “no thanks” link at the bottom of the checkout page before proceeding.

Get an Epson all-in-one printer for $19 shipped

Update: Sorry to say that this deal is invalid. Apparently Epson never meant for this promo code to be released to the general public. My apologies for the confusion.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, if you wait for the Cheapskate newsletter to arrive in your inbox, it may be too late: the deal of the day might be over or sold out. I know this can be frustrating, but it’s beyond my control. As always, your best bet is to visit the site in the morning, typically around 9-10 a.m. ET.

I mention that because I’m pretty sure today’s deal will sell out. Either that or the coupon code will expire without warning.

While supplies last, Epson has the refurbished WorkForce 320 all-in-one printer for $19 shipped. That’s after applying coupon code GIFT19 at checkout.

But, wait, there’s more: Epson also has the refurbished Stylus NX420 all-in-one printer for $19 shipped. That’s also after applying coupon code GIFT19 at checkout.

The WorkForce 320 is probably the better choice if you’re looking to outfit a home office. It not only prints, scans, and copies, but also faxes. Plus, it has an auto document feeder. However, connectivity is limited to USB.

The Stylus NX420 lacks an ADF and doesn’t fax, but it does have a color LCD for menu operations and print previews, and it supports printing and scanning via Wi-Fi.

Whichever model you’ll choose, you’ll be glad to know that Epson backs its refurbs with a full one-year warranty, plus free phone support for the life of the product. Also, both models use four individual ink tanks, so you replace only the color that’s necessary.

Both these babies are in stock as of 9:30 a.m. ET–but I suspect they won’t last the morning. Hope you get a crack at one!

Bonus deal: Speaking of guaranteed sellouts, today only, Sellout.woot has the refurbished Samsung Galaxy Tab 7-inch Android tablet with 3G and Wi-Fi for $199.99, plus $5 for shipping. The Sprint version is already sold out; now your only carrier choice is Verizon. (Thankfully, service is optional.) Just goes to show you that
tablet prices continue to be in freefall–so if you miss this, don’t fret. More tablet deals are imminent.

Bonus deal No. 2: Like this one: Amazon is offering the Kindle Fire tablet for $189 shipped when you use your MasterCard and apply coupon code ZKGYLEBT at checkout. Hey, it’s only 10 bucks off, but it’s pretty surprising given how new and popular the Fire is.

Dell Vostro v131 Laptop, 20 Percent Off

Dell’s Vostro 131 offers good performance for a business-minded ultraportable laptop, earning it four of five stars in a recent review. Motorola Droid Bionic, $200 With Verizon Contract

The recently released Motorola Droid Bionic smartphone is loaded with features for business and entertainment use, and it earned 4 of 5 stars in our review. Verizon lists it for $300 with a two-year contract–but LetsTalk.com is selling the Droid Bionic for only $200, with a new two-year Verizon contract. Try using coupon code take20back at checkout to get another $40 off (it’s a limited-time deal, and expiration date isn’t available–so your mileage may vary).

Lenovo ThinkPad X220 Core i5 Laptop, $899

Lenovo’s ThinkPad X220 is a speedy12.5-inch ultraportable with a long battery life. HP Envy 14 Core i7 Laptop, $935

The HP Envy 14 is a powerful, attractive laptop, earning 4.5 out of 5 stars in our review. Its aluminum body gives the system a sturdy feel and clean lines. When we tested the Intel Core i3 version, we found its performance was great for a mid-size all-purpose system–and it must be even better with Intel’s Core i7 CPU. HP usually sells the Envy 14 Core i7 model for $1100, but use coupon code NBEN3772 at checkout and you’ll pay only $935 (and shipping is free).
