Optimize savings through online codes
Everyone wants to save money and time when planning to buy something online, right? I love when I find great deals online, and I also love when I find a coupon code to go with it, making it an even greater deal.
Coupon codes are alphanumeric codes created to help you save money. When I first started couponing, I had no idea what coupon codes were. When I would buy something online I would always see, at the bottom of my shopping cart, “Apply Coupon Code” and had no idea what that meant. When my friend finally told me what it was and where to look for them, I was so excited, and it changed the way I shopped online.
Many online merchants do not offer the coupon code directly on their own online site. However, there are several places to look for coupon codes. For example, on SavvyShopperDeals.com, under the Online Deals section, you can find a tab that says “Coupon Codes,” and it will help you find the best codes out there. There is also another site called www.retailmenot.com, another great place to find coupon codes.
One of my favorite places to shop online is Totsy.com. It always has the cutest, trendiest items like shoes, kid’s clothing, toys, magazines, kitchenware, women’s clothing, etc. I could go on and on about all the great things they put on sale.
Another great thing about Totsy is that you can save at least 45 percent on items. Right now they are doing an additional 20 percent off everything online. Since I NEVER shop online without using a coupon code, here is an awesome coupon code to stack with its amazing sale. Enter coupon code FAST51, and you can save 10 percent off FastShip-marked items.
Being the mom of twin girls and the wife to a husband who works and goes to school full time, I have learned the power of saving any way I can. I love when I find a great deal online and I love it even more when I find a coupon code to go with it.

Verizon is currently charging $199 on new 2-year contract for the DNA, so this promo will save you almost $200. In order to receive the phone for free you do need to sign a new contract.
The promo also allows you to refer friends who are not currently Verizon customers. Should you refer them, Verizon will give you $25 per.
Keep in mind that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be available starting May 23 and that there is still a chance that Verizon carries a version of the HTC One down the road.

[Great Deal] ‘Changelog Droid’ Free For 24 Hours With Coupon Code ($1.87 Off)
Changelog Droid, an app that not only shows changelogs of applications you have installed all in one convenient place but also monitors apps that you haven’t installed and keeps history of changes over time, is on sale for 24 hours. And by sale I mean it’ll cost you about free fifty. I’ve played around with the app for the last half an hour and found it to be very polished, pleasant to use, and, more importantly, actually handy. It even has a DashClock extension.
Since the Play Store doesn’t allow apps to switch from free to paid, the developer is using the next best method – a coupon code. Usually, the downside of this is that if you uninstall and reinstall later or install to another device once the coupon expires, you will likely lose the paid features. Speaking of which, the $1.87 premium license removes ads and adds support for themes. If I were you, I’d use something like Titanium Backup or Helium (the latter doesn’t even need root) to back up and restore this app in the future. In this case, the developer went the extra mile and made sure that any entered coupon codes with be forever associated with your Google account. Thank you, Cypressious.
To get Changelog Droid Premium for free, load up the free Changelog Droid app and enter code appoftheday by going to Menu – Preferences.
Changelog Droid
Thanks, Davide!

Beginner’s guide to online couponing
This post comes from Kyle James at partner site U.S. News World Report.
Couponing has always been a key ingredient when it comes to saving money on purchases.
However, coupon strategies have shifted dramatically in recent years. With the popularity of online shopping, you’re no longer required to spend hours clipping coupons from Sunday newspaper. Online coupons allow you to save without leaving your home computer — and eliminate the time required to clip and redeem traditional coupon offers.
Here are the basics on the various types of online coupons and where to find them:
Coupon codes. The first type of online coupon is also the most popular; they’re called “coupon codes” and are offered by 75% of online retailers to encourage spending and brand loyalty. The most popular coupon codes offer free shipping or a flat percentage off your order total (with no minimum purchase required).
You simply type the code into the designated box when checking out at the retailer’s website. The box might also be titled promotional code, discount code or online coupon key and is typically found on the payment or billing page. You never want to enter your credit card information or finalize your purchase until you are sure your coupon code has been accepted. Otherwise, it can be difficult to go back and try get your discount if the code was entered incorrectly or has expired.
Embedded coupon offers. The next type of online coupon is an embedded coupon, which does not have a code attached to it. These are often included in a retailer’s free newsletter, which you have to subscribe to. Simply click on the offer and it takes you to the retailer’s website, where the discount is automatically applied to your purchase.
Remember to verify your discount went through and read the fine print with these offers, since they sometimes exclude certain brands or clearance items.
Site-wide promotions. These promotions are fairly self-explanatory and include things like “Spring Sale: Save up to 55% off your online purchase.” There’s no coupon code required.
The key, though, to banking significant online savings is combining a coupon code with a site-wide promotion. You can save upwards of 80% off your purchase and often get free shipping included.
Where to find online coupons. An Internet search engine, naturally, is a good starting point. Simply type in the store name, plus the word coupons, and you’ll likely discover coupon websites that update regularly and test coupon codes before adding them. Bookmark the good sites and remember to check them before you finalize your online purchase.
If you have a few favorite retailers, sign up for their free newsletter, follow them on Twitter and “like” their page on Facebook, as these outlets are another way to monitor for great coupons.
Mobile apps. Some coupon aggregators have free apps that can get you online coupons, as well as in-store coupons directly on your phone. For an in-store coupon, as the cashier simply scans the barcode on your phone and the savings are applied instantly.
Popular stores offering in-store coupons on smartphone apps include Old Navy, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Home Depot, Lands’ End, Payless Shoes and Toys R Us.

Razer Will Honor 90 Percent Coupon Codes – The Escapist

Razer says it’s going to hurt, but it will honor orders made with an unauthorized coupon code that discounted purchases by 90 percent.
Earlier this week it came to light that Razer’s U.K.-based online store was accepting a promotional code that gave buyers a 90 percent discount on their purchases. The whole thing was uncovered (and then quickly stopped) when Polygon sent an inquiry to Razer, which stated unequivocally that no such promotion was underway.
Nonetheless, now that it’s all been sorted out, Razer says it will honor the discounted purchases. “This coupon code was NOT authorized nor approved by Razer and was generated by a third party to test our shopping cart (and left in our system unknown to us till now)” Razer co-founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan explained on Facebook. “While we have the option of canceling the orders legally, we’ve always had a customer comes first policy at Razer and in respect of this incident, we have decided to honor the orders that were placed using the unauthorized code by Razer fans buying single products for their own use.”
It’s a seriously solid move by Razer, especially since the steep discount code will cost the company “an insane amount of losses” which will “really really hurt us as we’re still a small company,” Tan wrote. Because of that, Razer won’t honor multiple unit orders made with the code, but will allow customers who placed them to buy one of each item ordered. “Our focus is on doing the right thing for our fans, the gamers and the community, not for resellers or users to profit from this,” he wrote. “That’s not gaming, that’s not our deal.”
“It’s going to take a few weeks (and up to a few months in certain cases) to get all these orders processed and shipped – a lot of stuff was already back-ordered due to high demand – and we ask that customers please bear with us,” he continued. “We apologize to anyone miffed or confused by this week’s happenings in the U.K., we appreciate everyone’s patience, and we thank all of our customers for their support.”
